Recording May 2010
Roman music by Palestrina, Arcadelt and de Silva come together in the recording Musica Contexta has made for Chandos in May 2010. The working title for the disc is Le Divin Arcadelt.
The music includes pieces that were performed in the Easter at the Sistine Chapel concert of 2009, including le divin Arcadelt's Missa Ave Regina coelorum. The venue for the recording was St Jude's on the Hill, Hampstead Garden Suburb, London.
The singers of Musica Contexta were augmented with the English Cornett and Sackbut Ensemble.
